How do I advertise with ISIC?
The best way to advertise with us is to offer an exclusive discount to ISIC card holders, giving you access to over 5 million students worldwide. Once you become a benefit provider, you will have the opportunity to pay for premium space on our home page as a Featured Benefit, as well as through our Social Media benefit features. What documents do I need to get an ISIC Student card?
The ISIC card is available only for full-time students. You will need to provide one of the following documents:

- A document that proves that you are currently studying full time at a recognized school, college or university (Course Schedule or Tuition Receipt).
- A copy of your university or student ID, which is dated and clearly indicates you are currently a full-time student.

What documents do I need to get an International Youth Travel Card?
The International Youth Travel Card is available for people between the ages of 12 – 30 years old. Applicants must apply before their 30th birthday.

To get an International Youth Travel Card you need to provide one of the following documents that identifies you and proves your age:

- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- A valid Driver’s License

What documents do I need to get an International Teacher Identity Card?
The ITIC card is available for full-time teachers.

To get an International Teacher Identity Card you must provide a letter on official school or university stationery confirming that you are employed at a recognized educational establishment for a minimum of 18 hours per week and for a minimum of one academic year.

Also provide one of the following documents below:

- Passport
- Birth Certificate
- An official identity card issued by the official authorities

Where do I submit proof of eligibility?
If you order your card in person at an ISIC Issuing Office, please bring you proof of identity and status with you.

If you order your card online, you will receive an email prompting you to upload your documentation.

Why does my card show my birthdate as Day/Month/Year?
The ISIC/ITIC/IYTC uses the European Date format for birthdates and validity dates on the cards. If your birthdate is February 29, 1997, then your birthdate will read 29Feb1997.
My card is lost or stolen - how can I report and replace it?
If your card was lost or stolen, the travel insurance attached to your card is still valid for the initial validity period of the card. (We recommend that you keep of copy front and back of your card, and/or the card number and validity date in a safe place).

If you need the card for identification, discount or payment purposes, you will need to purchase a replacement. ISIC cards are non-refundable and non-transferable, so you will need to pay the full cost of a new one.
My card is expired - how can I renew it?
When your card is expired, simply purchase a new card here or by visiting an ISIC Issuing Office.

How much does an ISIC card cost?
ISIC student, IYTC Youth and ITIC Teachers card are $20.00 (no insurance)

If you need a more comprehensive international travel insurance, you can choose to purchase a BASIC card at $25.00, PREMIUM card at $99.00 or an EXPLORER card at $199.00
How long is my card valid for?
All cards are valid for one year from date of issue.
Where do I submit my photo?
When you purchase your card on myisic.com, you will be prompted to upload your photo.

The photo needs to be a full color head shot, no larger the 20K and approximately 180×180 pixels.
Where can I get help in an emergency?
Your ISIC card isn’t just about giving you great deals – you have the option to add travel insurance designed for the adventurous student.

What benefits do I get with my ISIC/IYTC/ITIC?
Your card provides you with a wide range of discounts and special offers. This includes discounts on flights and ferries as well as at museums, bookshops and restaurants.

ISIC Basic, Premium and Explorer Cards that are issued in the U.S. also include international travel insurance, valid when traveling outside of the U.S. ***Please note that policies purchased in 2018 for residents of Washington, New York, South Dakota, Maryland and Massachusetts, ISIC/IYTC/ITIC EXPLORER card purchased will not include insurance.***

ISIC is also the only internationally recognized form of student ID, endorsed by UNESCO.

Do my friends and family also enjoy the benefits?
Unfortunately not. ISIC offers and discounts can only be enjoyed by the cardholder. However, your family and friends might also be eligible for their own ISIC/ITIC/IYTC cards.
Who can get an ISIC card?
The ISIC card is available to full-time students at school, college or university, aged 12 years to 99.

What do you mean by ‘full-time student’?
The definition of a full-time student depends on which country you are in.:
Generally, full-time usually means at least 12 credit hours, for a minimum of 12 weeks per year.

Am I eligible?

Is there an age limit?
You have to be at least 12 years old to get an ISIC card.

Youth cards are available between 12 and 30 years old.

There is no age limit for Teacher cards.

Some discount providers include age restrictions in their offer.

If you study part-time and you are under 30 years old, the International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) is the right card for you. The IYTC card offers similar benefits, services and savings as the ISIC card.
I am doing a Masters degree – can I get an ISIC?
Yes, as long as you are studying full time.
Who is eligible for an ISIC?

Does ISIC include insurance?
U.S. issued ISIC / ITIC / IYTC Basic, Premium, and Explorer cards include international travel insurance. This insurance is valid for students traveling overseas from the United States. This insurance is the minimum coverage recommended for traveling abroad.

***Please note that policies purchased in 2018 for residents of Washington, New York, South Dakota, Maryland and Massachusetts, ISIC/IYTC/ITIC EXPLORER card purchased will not include insurance.***

How much does shipping cost?
All cards are shipped with the US Postal Service:

Shipping costs: $3.00
You will receive your card within 10 – 15 business days after payment has been received.
Are ISIC, ITIC and IYTC cards refundable if I cancel my order before I receive the card in the mail.
ISIC, ITIC and IYTC cards are NON-REFUNDABLE. Cards are processed immediately following receipt of payment and are personalized with the customer’s photo, name and date of birth.

Orders cannot be cancelled, and cards are non-refundable.
